Samantha Blair, a junior at Eagle Valley High, took third in the 4A girls final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 18:14.04 at the Colorado High School Activities Association state championship meet at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Blair was second last year in 18:15.1 and ninth as a freshman in 18:58.1.
